Project 3

This is a card, again made very cheaply, with tissue paper from out of a shoe box (when I bought a new pair of shoes), scrap card and elements cut from other FREE sources!

For this project, you will need:

A5 card, folded in half

Scrap card, cut from old packaging (of any sort) - even if it has printing on the reverse, it can still be used as that side will be stuck down!

Old tissue wrapping paper

Some 'elements' cut from old cards, or magazines (stuck down to plain white card to strengthen them)

Paper glue of any sort

Card Insert (from my shop) - optional

1. Fold A5 blank card in half

2. Crumple up tissue paper, then flatten out (don't flatten too much as it's the wrinkles that make it attractive)

3. Stick tissue paper to plain white card by covering the entire card with glue of choice and leave to dry

4. When it is dry (I then colour to match my card, by dabbing it with an ink pad, but you could leave it plain white - it is just as effective!

5. Cut a strip of the tissue card to the size you require, then stick to a piece of plain coloured card (mine was a piece of silver card that something came packaged with)

6. Leave a border round the edge and cut to size of card

7. The rose element and 'Thank You' sentiment was cut from old greetings cards (ask everyone to donate their old cards to you, rather than throw them away)

8. Again, create a border around the elements with plain coloured card and attach to card with whatever method you wish (I always like to use foam pads for a 3D effect, but a glue stick would suffice)

7. And finally, why not add a printed insert to the inside for a really professional finish, here for sale on this site
