Project 4

Another card along the same lines as the card in Project 3

Again, you will need:

A5 card blank

Old tissue paper

Plain card

Card scraps

Elements from old greetings card

Peel Off

Card Insert (from my shop) - optional

1. Fold A5 card in half

2. Crumple tissue paper (wrapping from pair of shoes I bought), flatten it out a little (not too much as you want the creases for effect) and stick it to plain card

3. Wait for it to dry, then colour it if you wish (I use an ink pad and just dab it all over), but you can leave it plain and it is just as effective!

4. Cut 'Birthday Wishes' from an old greeting card (you can get friends & family to donate them to you, rather than throw them away . . . RECYCLING!)

5. Cut strip of the tissue paper  background you have just made to size required for card and stick the greeting in the centre of that (leaving a border all round)

6. Stick the 'peel off gift' to a piece of plain card and then stick that to a piece of coloured card (mine was again from packaging) and leave a border all round that

7. The silver coloured card line above and below the 'Birthday Wishes' was leftover scraps

8. Now assemble all the elements together by sticking the scrap card line to the bottom of the card, then the tissue paper/Birthday Wishes 'topper' you've just made and another scrap card line above that again

9. Finish off by sticking the 'gift topper' where you want it by using whatever method you choose - I like to use foam pads for a 3D effect!

10. And finally, why not add a printed insert to the inside for a really professional finish, here for sale on this site
